The Spring in the Heart of Germany
The Steinsiek area has a specific geological formation. The rock layers consist of Keuper, which is part of the Germanic Trias Group, a characteristic sequence of rock strata that give the Triassic its name (about 220 mill. years ago). The chalk layers are rich in calcium. This contributes to the uniqueness of Steinsieker with its valuable mineralisation, its very high calcium content, and refreshing taste.
The village of Steinsiek, near Bad Oeynhausen has a long tradition as a spa where generations have enjoyed and appreciated the wholesome, healing springs of Steinsieker and St. Margareten. Spas, thermal resorts and Natural Mineral Waters are part of Germany’s cultural heritage.
Since 1984 Steinsieker Natural Mineral Water and St. Margareten Medicinal Water have belonged to Brohler Mineral- und Heilbrunnen, a fifth generation, family-run company, fully dedicated to Natural Mineral Water and one of Germany’s top quality Natural Mineral Water companies.
